Almost forgot to show what else we were up to when we were in NYC back in September of 2017. Besides the time-friendly museums, we explored some of the other less touristy places.
Lincoln Center Plaza
Even though we didn’t attend a performance on this trip, the area around the famous Lincoln Center is a great area to walk around and enjoy a nice day. This hippo version of the Degas ballerina proves that size doesn’t matter when it comes to dancing.
Trying On Hats In the Subway
NYC offers a lot of opportunities for fun photos, including in the subway station.
Eating Our Way Through the City
I’m not going to proclaim myself a foodie, but eating in NYC brought me more joy than I can tell you. From street food festival to authentic Chinese food in Flushing, New York really is a food lover’s playground. Although I don’t really recommend the much-hyped cookie dough shop unless you can stomach that a dense block of sugar in one sitting.
Admiring Manhattan Skyline
Since we were forced to stay a few extra days in Brooklyn, we took the opportunity to check out the Manhattan skyline.
